• boiler - The thermostat by the firedoor controls the boiler.
• carbon monoxide alarm - FireAngel - Please test occasionally; push the button and cover your ears (or the speaker hole).
• carbon monoxide alarm - Kidde - Please test occasionally (as above).
• dishwasher - The AEG manual 7.2 says "Multi-tabs containing salt are not effective enough to soften hard water". The water is London is very hard (260 mg/L calcium carbonate), and AEG recommends for hard water using separate dishwasher detergent, rinse aid and salt (section 10.2); rather than 3-in-1 multi-tablets. In general tablets may not fully dissolve on short programs. For rinse-aid settings (inc deactivation) see section 7.3.

• oven - This oven has two self-cleaning functions, 'hydrolytic' and 'pyrolytic'.
• tumble dryer - This dryer has a fluff filter in the door which needs to be gently brushed out regularly.
