  • gas - If you smell gas, and all hob rings are off, phone the Gas Emergency Service on 0800 111 999. Turn the gas off at the main stop-cock, red handle left of the gas meter, in the kitchen, upper cupboard left of the sink.
  • carbon monoxide - If a carbon monoxide detector has gone off, phone the Gas Emergency Service on 0800 111 999.
  • electricity - UK Power Network: 0800 028 0247 or National Grid: 0800 111 999
  • water - Thames Water: 0800 714 614

Estate management — Hackney Homes:

  • Repair Line: 020 83563691. This service handles any problems with communal lighting, pathways etc - generally estate things external to the flat.
  • Cropley Street neighbourhood office: 020 83563330 (0.3 miles on foot). This office can issue parking permits for the estate, generally much cheaper than parking on a meter or at a private car park.
